The Manchester cross country teams hosted East Jackson in a Cascades Conference dual meet Tuesday and the Dutch came away with a sweep of the Trojans.
The boys defeated East Jackson 23-36, while the girls came away with an easy win after two East Jackson runners dropped out of the race, leaving the Trojans without enough runners to score.
It was a very warm night for October with the temps in the mid-80’s and runners struggled with the heat.
Devin Mackenzie won the boys race with a time of 19:45.
Seth Beerens finished 4th in 20:45 followed by Preston Mackenzie fifth in 21:01. Chase Flint was sixth in 21:02, Liam Riley seventh in 21:11, Bobby Romberger eighth in 21:40, Miles West 11th in 24:56, and Evan Thompson 12th in 25:26.
The girls swept the first three spots with Jocelyn Boote coming home first in 20:30. Mary Bradshaw was right behind in second in 21:02 and Elizabeth O’Hotzke third in 21:39.
Paige Bourland was fifth in 24:47, Phoenix Waters seventh in 27:01, Rebecca Bishop eighth in 27:30, Jessica Lacy 10th in 27:42, Samantha Teresky 11th in 28:20, and Quinn Bourland 12th in 30:54.
