The Manchester Lady Dutch Soccer racked up two wins last week, continuing their undefeated streak in conference play.

On April 18 the Lady Dutch defeated Columbia Central 4-2. Goal scorers for Manchester were sophomore Rylee Spitler, sophomore Mikayla Ball, junior Emma Mrocko, and junior Avery Collins.

After a weather cancellation for April 16, the Lady Dutch traveled to Grass Lake April 19 to take on the Warriors.

Manchester was in control early and got on the board when junior Rayna Edwards created space near the 18-yard box and lifted the ball over the Warriors goalkeeper to give the Lady Dutch a 1-0 lead less than five minutes into the game.

Edwards would strike under ten minutes later when Collins sent a perfect through ball for Edwards to run onto, which she did and calmly finished past the goalkeeper again.

In the second half the Warriors had their chances but couldn’t capitalize on open net opportunities.

With around eighteen minutes left in the game Collins received a ball from Edwards before beating a couple Warrior defenders and finishing from inside the 18-yard box for the 3-0 lead.

A long through ball for Mrocko with about nine minutes left capped off the 4-0 victory for the Lady Dutch.

They hold a 4-0-0 record and 3-0-0 record in Independent Soccer League (ISL) conference play.
