Manchester Track and Field Competes at Conference Meet

The Manchester Flying Dutchmen Track and Field team traveled to East Jackson last week for the Cascades Conference meet. The boys took fifth place while the girls finished fourth.

Top performers for the boys included senior Paul Derheim who took second (43.65) in the 36” 300m hurdles and was part of the second place 4×200 relay team (1:35.79), and freshman Henry Wehrly took second in the high jump (5-10).

For the girls, freshman Makayla Sayer took second in the 100 (13.06 personal record) and first in the 400 (1:01.91 personal record), sophomore Mary Bradshaw took third in the 1600 (5:50.24) and third in the 3200 (12:50.47), first in the 4×100 relay team (52.94), and freshman Gwen Gebhardt took third in the long jump (15-10.25 personal record).
