Max Erwin Boyce

Stockbridge, Michigan

At age 91, passed away at home surrounded by his family on May 31, 2018. He was born the son of Wirt and Beulah (Marsh) Boyce on September 7, 1926.

January 5, 1963 he married Mary Lou Showerman, and she survives.

Max grew up on his family farm and was farming at a very young age, learning his work ethic from that experience. He later became interested in carpentry and plumbing. He built several houses starting in the late 60’s and started his plumbing business in the late 70’s.

He was a Life Member and past Worshipful Master (1970) of the Stockbridge Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed making high quality stained glass art.

Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife, Max is survived by his children Todd (Amy) Boyce, Scott (Loretta) Boyce and Paula Robinson. He is also survived by his grandchildren D’Arcy, Ian, Ryan (Cora), Sean, Alex, Larissa, Chantel and Kacie (David) along with his great-grandchildren Devin, MacKenzy, Makenzie and Brantley.

A memorial service took place on June 5, 2018 from the Millville United Methodist Church.
