Meeting Synopsis – City of Saline 3/18/19


MARCH 18, 2019


The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and five members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Council voted to approve the Agenda as amended. Council approved the absence of Councilmember Mitchell. There were two citizen comments. The following Consent Agenda items were approved by unanimous vote of Council: Council minutes of the March 4, 2019 regular meeting; payment of 93 payees in the amount of $712,206.18; approval of Liquor License renewals; the Updated Investment Report; establishing the Mayor’s 2020 Census Work Group.

Unfinished Business:

Council voted to approve the Eastbelt Trunkline Sewer Resolution.

New Business:

Council voted to approve: FY 20 Operating & Capital Budgets for Saline Area Fire Department; Special Assessment Resolution for Saline Area Fire Department; Portable Toilet and Sink Contract Extension; Proposed Ordinance No. 809 Small Cell Towers Zoning; Proposed Ordinance No. 810 Small Cell Towers; Arbor Lane Condominiums Development Agreement; Odor Control Project Payment #7, Proposed Ordinance No. 811 Prohibiting the Feeding of Wild Animals; Purchase of Chemicals. There were six Discussion and/or Report items.  There were two public comments. 

City Council voted to adjourn the meeting at 8:55 p.m.
