AUGUST 5, 2019


The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and five members of Council were present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Council voted to approve the Agenda as amended.  Council voted to excuse the absence of Council Member McClelland.  There were no citizen comments.  The following Consent Agenda items were approved by unanimous vote of Council: Council minutes and synopsis of the July 15, 2019 regular meeting; payment of 126 payees in the amount of $736,675.37; MML Annual Conference; resignation of Jessica Urdangarin from the Environmental Commission.


New Business:

Council voted to approve: Installation of Old Maud Display at Rentschler Farm; Appointment to the 2019 MERS Annual Meeting; Capital Project Geotechnical Borings Bid Award; Michigan Council for Arts & Culture Affairs Grants for Bixby Marionette Project; Weiss Construction and Nova Technologies Tolling Agreement. There were thirteen Discussion and/or Report items.  There was one public comments.

City Council voted to adjourn into Closed Session at 8:50 p.m.

City Council reconvened into Open Session at 10:22 p.m.

City Council voted to authorize the City Attorney to engage experts and to analyze the appropriateness of issuance of Permit No. MI 0060250 and based on such investigation to authorize the Mayor and City Manager in consultation with legal counsel to take all actions needed to appeal the issuance of permit.

City Council voted to adjourn at 10:23 p.m.
