Synopsis of Regular Meeting Minutes

August 12, 2019


Supervisor Maier opened the meeting at 7:00 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance.  All Board members were present along ten residents and one guest.  A motion was passed to approve the Regular Meeting minutes of July 8, 2019 and the Special Meeting minutes of July 15, 2019 as presented.  Four residents spoke during Public Comment.

Treasurer, Nanette Havens submitted the July Treasurer’s report.

Under Old Business Supervisor Maier informed the Board that the Township has total approval for the roadway and the driveway permit on N. Lima Center Road.  New hall conceptual building drawings were available for reviewed. Ed Greenleaf also designed drawings for office space requirements.  Meetings will progress throughout the winter in hopes of breaking ground on the new hall in the spring.  Continuing with Old Business the Roadside Herbicide Spraying Program contract was canceled by the County.  Mowing will replace the spraying program at this time.

A motion was passed to approve Aaron’s Nuisance Animal Control for $2,875.00 to remove bats, and clean and repair bat damage to the rental house at 11506 Jackson Road.

The Board was asked to review the Robert’s Rules of Order material included in the packets in the interest of Lima Township adopting meeting procedural rules through policy.  Once the policy is set, reviews and up-dates may be made as necessary and all board members know what modified meetings rules are used and followed.

The Consent Agenda was approved.  Accounts Payable for $21,259.06 and Payroll $11,312.13.  Three residents commented during Final Public Comment.  Reports were given and the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 PM.
