SYNOPSIS OF MARCH 2019 BOARD MEETING MINUTES

LYNDON TOWNSHIP – 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI  48118

Summary of Minutes, March 12, 2019 —TOWNSHIP REGULAR BOARD MEETING—Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM.  No Comment.  Items Approved:  Agenda amended by adding under Other Business:   10A. Township Policy on Hotel Rates; 10B. Stamp with Supervisor’s Signature; 10C. Broadband Drop Proposal; 10D. Township Signup with MEC; 10E.  Phone System; Consent Agenda as presented; Payments of Bills as Presented.  Washtenaw County Administrator spoke; Zoning Administrator presented his report in writing to the Board; CAFA Representative presented his report in writing to the Board; Keezer updated the Board on Broadband.  Items Approved:  Island Lake Weed Assessment – Resolution 19-08 Special Assessment Resolution No. 1, Resolution of Intent to Make Certain Public Improvements: Tentative Designation of Special Assessment District – Notice of Public Hearing as presented; Tabled Resolution 19-07 to Adopt Fire Code Ordinance 2019-01; Waterline to Bike Staging Area with the Following Conditions:  1. Install Water Meter; 2.  Install Backflow Prevention; 3.  It is Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation’s responsibility and expense to pay for the waterline from the Lyndon Township Hall to the Bike Staging Area and  must winterize the line at the Lyndon Township Hall; Amend Resolution 18-12 for Reimbursement for Township Board Members and Employees to pay the going rate for hotels for conference attendance; Purchase a Signature stamp with the Supervisor’s signature to be used in his absence.  His Approval is required via email before applying his signature; Amend the MEC Contract contingent upon the Broadband Implementation Committee recommendation and legal review to use MEC as Drop Contractor.  Meeting adjourned at 8:01 PM.  Summary of Minutes, March 28, 2019—TOWNSHIP SPECIAL BOARD MEETING—Meeting called to order at 10:01 AM.  No Comment. Board reviewed plans for heating and cooling zones for Township Hall Addition.  Meeting adjourned at 11:05 AM.
