Michigan International Speedway Celebrates 50 Years

Summer has arrived! With it comes a full line up events taking place at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS), which is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

MIS, owned by the International Speedway Corporation, is a two-mile moderate-banked D-shaped speedway located off of US-12 four miles south of Brooklyn, MI. on approximately 1,400 acres of land that hosts many different types of events in addition to racing.

Their biggest events are NASCAR races in June and August, Faster Horses, a three-day country music festival, and a Truck and Tractor Pull (May 18-19). Overall, there are over 300 events planned for this year,

MIS has four divisions that race at the track: Cup, Xfinity, Truck and Arca. This year, races will take place June 8-10, July 20–22, and August 10–12. For more information on tickets and events visit their website at http://www.mispeedway.com.
