Michigan State Police looking for missing, endangered 14-year-old girl


The Michigan State Police have updated an alert sent out from its Brighton post this past weekend.

The Michigan State Police public information office for Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe and Washtenaw counties issued this tweet on Dec. 17.

“Update on this case: Tips continue to come in to law enforcement. Through investigation, the missing 14 year old is believed to be in the company of Jon Boyer, black male, age 18 years who also resides in the Chelsea, MI area. If you have info on their whereabouts, call 911.”

The Endangered Missing Advisory for Emily Marie Long, from the Chelsea area, was sent out on the morning of Dec. 15.

She’s described as: White, blonde hair, blue eyes, height of 5’01, 140 pounds, wearing a wool hooded pull-over sweatshirt.

It was reported Long was last seen in the area of I-94 and M-52 near at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13.

Long has had no contact with family and no other information is known about where she could be.
