The Michigan State Police issued a positive update in its search for a missing Chelsea area girl, Emily Long.
On its twitter account, Thursday evening of Dec. 20, the Michigan State Police public information for Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe and Washtenaw counties said the missing/endangered alert for the 14-year-old, issued by the MSP Brighton Post, could be canceled.
“Emily Long has been located, and most importantly she was found SAFE! Thanks to all of those who helped us get the word out in this case!!,” the MSP tweet stated.”
The report said she was located safely and more details could be issued by the MSP Brighton Post. The Sun Times News will update this post once more information is gathered.
The EMA or Endangered Missing Advisory for Emily Marie Long, from the Chelsea area, was sent out on the morning of Dec. 15. At that time, it was reported she was last seen in the area of I-94 and M-52 near at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13.
