Neil A. Frank, age 91 passed peacefully to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at Hampton Manor of Hamburg. He was lovingly cared for by his daughters, Hampton Manor staff and Compassionate Hospice.
Neil was born on January 24th, 1933, in Plymouth Michigan, the son of the late Aurther and Anna (Doletzky) Frank. He lived the majority of his life in Dexter where he graduated from Dexter High School. He was married to Sarah L. (Hause) for 44 years until her death in 2000.
Neil was dedicated to American Airlines and worked in various locations including Detroit, Dallas and Los Angeles, retiring as a supervisor in 1995 from Detroit Metropolitan Airport. He was proud of the ground handling of Air Force One at Willow Run Airport. Neil also served in the Michigan and California National Guard. He was a member of Shalom Lutheran Church, the Dexter Area Historical Society, Dexter American Legion Post 557, Yankee Air Museum and Dexter Vintage Car Club.
Neil is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth (Donn) Nelson, and Andrea (Ron) Tupper; granddaughters Michelle (Chuck) Byrnes and Christine Tupper; sisters Joyce Clevenger and Gail Frank as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary (Robert) Geierman in 2011. Neil is also survived by his lifelong friend Jack (Della) Blanchard and dedicated friends Larry Stalker and Joe Balden.
Family and friends are invited to attend Neil’s Celebration of Life Sunday, September 22nd at Shalom Lutheran Church, 1740 E. M-36 in Pinckney, Michigan. Visitation begins at 2:00 PM with the service at 3:00 PM followed by light appetizers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shalom Lutheran Church or Huron Valley Humane Society.
