TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF LIMA TOWNSHIP NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF THE STATE PRIMARY ELECTION ON AUGUST 7, 2018. POLLS WILL OPEN 7:00 A.M. UNTIL 8:00 P.M. POLLING LOCATION FOR BOTH PRECINCT 1 AND PRECINCT 2 IS LIMA TOWNSHIP HALL 11452 JACKSON RD., DEXTER, MI 48130
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that both Precinct 1 and Precinct 2 will be voting on Partisan Positions as listed below:
United States Senator
Representative in Congress – 7th District
State Senator – 22nd District
Representative in State – Legislature – 52nd district
County Commissioner – 1st District
Delegate to County Convention
For the August 7, 2018 State Primary Election, there are no proposals on the ballots for Lima Township.
Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered voters may contact Elaine Bater at firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot or visit www.twp-lima.org on the Elections page to print one. You may vote by absentee ballot if you:
Are unable to attend the polls without assistance;
Are 60 years of age or older;
Expect to be absent from your city or township for the entire time the polls are open on Election Day;
Are in jail, awaiting arraignment or trial;
Have been assigned to work as a precinct inspector in a precinct other than where you are registered; or
Are unable to attend the polls because of religious beliefs.
All electors who are registered with the township clerk by 7/9/2018 in the township in which they reside are eligible to vote at this election. Sample ballots can be found at www.twp-lima.org on the Elections page. To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), a voting accessible device is available. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
