Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Zoning

Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Dexter Senior Center,

7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan, for the purpose of hearing public comment regarding the following

variance application:

The applicant, Brent Kolb, is requesting the following variances from Section 7.03(1)F for a ground sign at 7225

Dan Hoey Road, 08-08-08-200-024:

2-foot variance from the required 10-foot setback from the road right-of-way, to allow a 8-foot setback from the

road right-of-way;

7-foot variance from the 15-foot required setback from the property line, along Dan Hoey Road, to allow an 8-foot

setback from the property line; and

13-foot variance from the required 15-foot setback from the primary entranceway drive, to allow a 2-foot setback

from the primary entranceway drive.

The applicant requests the variance due to practical difficulties associated with the property.

The application is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI

48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Any questions regarding the rezoning application should be

Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments.  Written comments

regarding the proposal should be submitted to the Office of Community Development at the address listed above or

via email to, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2016.
