It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and friend, Patty Koeller, who departed from this world on June 4th, 2024. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength. 

Born on October 8th, 1948 in Wayne, Michigan to Joseph and Mildred Riley who preceded her in death, as did her sister Colleen. Patty is survived by her husband, Mike Koeller; children, Jason (Amanda McNally), Zachary and Ryan; grandchildren, Jack and Cade; as well as siblings Margaret Barr (Angelo), Kathryn Wade (Mike), Mike Riley (Debbie), and Kevin Riley (Marlene). 

Patty was the devoted wife of Mike with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and many cherished memories. Patty supported her family with endless dedication and love. Patty had a unique ability to make a space beautiful. Her gardening, her interior design and her laughter are all things that she will be remembered by. 

A memorial service to celebrate Patty’s life will be held on August 9 th , 2024, at 6pm at The Chelsea Depot located at 125 Jackson St. in Chelsea, Michigan. For updated information, please continue to check the Nie Funeral Home website. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Research, Animal Welfare organizations, or at minimum, please commit a random act of kindness in honor of Patty.
