Manchester Patrol

4/20 ~A subject was arrested for possession of narcotics in the 500blk of City Rd.  The case has been turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutors Office for review and charges.



4/22 ~A report of found property was made.  A wallet was located in the 500 block of West Main Street.  The owner was identified and the wallet returned.

Saline Police Blotter

4/13 ~Identity Theft – victim stated suspect had used his tax identification number to order phones from a cellular company. Company froze the order, flagged it as fraud, and contacted the victim. Officers were able to contact suspect. Suspect stated it was not him. SPD advised suspect to contact his local police agency to report fraud in his name.

~Larceny – victim came to SPD to file a report for stolen property. Victim arrived at place of employment, after finishing shift, noticed something missing from the car. Report was taken and information entered into the system as stolen.

4/15 ~Aggravated/Felony Assault – Murder Attempt – officers were dispatched for report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival officers stopped a vehicle leaving the area; subject in the vehicle was confirmed to have been involved in the incident.

Victim and arrestee had a relationship, victim told SPD officers they had a history of domestic violence and history of arguing over victims drinking consumption. Last reported incident was in January 2018.

Victim and arrestee returned home after a night out with victim’s family. Victim drank while out and continued drinking upon returning home. Once home victim and arrestee began to argue. Arrestee began to choke victim during argument. Arrestee left and victim called 911.

Arrestee was placed in custody after officers at the scene spoke to the officer who had pulled over the subject leaving the area.

4/21 ~Larceny – victim called SPD to report theft from their vehicle. Officer met with victim who reported missing items.

4/23 ~Injured Person – Officer responded to Park Side Plaze for a downed electrical pole. Caller stated a young child may have been struck by wires when riding her bike in the area. Child was transported to Mott’s Children Hospital after further evaluation by offices, Saline Fire and Echo Unit, and child’s mother.

Chelsea City Police

4/25 ~11:30am, an officer responded to the 100 block of Madison Street to take a complaint regarding some damage at the Oak Grove Cemetery. The complainant reported that throughout multiple areas in the cemetery there were flowers and trash type debris strewn about. At the time of the report there was no damage found to any grave sites or headstones. It is unknown exactly when this occurred and prior to officer’s arrival the debris was already cleaned up by the maintenance people on site. Anyone witnessing any suspicious activity in the cemetery is urged to contact the Chelsea Police Department.

4/25 ~12:35am, patrol officers responded to the 1600 block of South Main Street for the report of a disorderly person who had become upset at the clerk and smashed a glass jar of jelly that was on the shelf for sale. While dispatch was on the phone the caller advised that the suspect; later determined to be a 31-year-old Kalamazoo man had gotten into his vehicle and left the area, driving onto Westbound I-94. Officers responded to the scene and made contact with the complainant. The suspect information was provided to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and they were able to locate the vehicle traveling on I-94. The suspect was identified and released by Jackson County. After speaking with the owner of the business the following day, the owner advised that at this time he did not wish to pursue the matter criminally. The case was closed by the investigators.

4/30 ~7am, complainant  called to report that a tire and rim was stolen off of his vehicle sometime between April 29 at 11pm and April 30 at 7am. The victim stated that an unknown suspect(s) used a jack to raise his vehicle and stole one of the driver side tires and rims off of the vehicle. At the time of the report no information was available as to a person of interest in the theft. The case was closed pending any further information.
