NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF DEXTER
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018. The hearing will take place at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan. The purpose of hearing is to take public comments regarding the following variance application:
The applicant, CBR Investments LLC., is requesting the following variance in order to construct a 3-dwelling-unit multiple-family building on the property located at 3268 Central Street (08-08-06-129-005):
A variance from Section 20.01 of the City of Dexter Zoning Ordinance to allow an increase in the maximum density allowed for multiple-family developments in the VC Village Commercial Zoning District, based on the definition of a multiple-family building, in Section 2.02 of the City of Dexter Zoning Ordinance. If the variance is granted, a 3-unit multiple-family building would be allowed, instead of a 2-unit building.
The applicant is requesting the variance due to practical difficulties associated with the property.
According to Section 24.05(E) of the Zoning Ordinance, the Zoning Board of Appeals shall have power upon appeal in specific cases to authorize a variation or modification of the dimensional provisions of the Zoning Ordinance.
The application is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any questions regarding the rezoning application should be directed to the Office of Community Development at 734-580-2235.
Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments. Written comments regarding the proposal should be submitted to the Office of Community Development at the address listed above or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2018.
