At age 80, of Ann Arbor, MI, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his home. He was born on September 11, 1938 in Martin, Kentucky the son of Joe and Earcie (Jarrell) Branham.

He moved to Chelsea, MI in 1953 and attended Chelsea High School, graduating with the class of 1957. He was a volunteer of the Chelsea Fire Department for a number of years and was active in The  Chelsea Jaycees, where he was president and went on to be a State Vice-President for Washtenaw County.

Ron worked for Gelman Instruments in Chelsea and Ann Arbor. He was self-employed doing Hot Shot Express Deliveries, having only one accident (because of black ice) in over 600,000 miles. He always said, “I saw the United States through the windshield of my van.” After retiring, his hobby was Classic Cars. He was a member of Chelsea Classic Cruisers. He also liked four-wheeling up north and in Kentucky and was the keeper of all Geneology for the family.

He married Delores A. Frey on October 12, 1974, and she survives. Also surviving are his three children Jeffrey (Sheila) Branham of Chelsea, Tracy Branham of Ann Arbor, and Susan Branham of Chelsea; two grandsons of whom he was so proud, Joshua Branham of Atlanta, GA and Nate Branham of Austin, TX; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ella Branham, Emmalene  Anthis, Berndine (Lowell) Higgins, Joyce (Rob) Fane, Peggy (Ron) Henderson, Denny (Debbie) Frey, Marcella Montgomery, and Ruth Ann Frey (sister-in-law).

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Branham,  sister Audry Bongo,  infant brother Ralph Branham, and niece Melissa Turner.

Funeral Services took place October 27, 2018 from the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, October 26, 2018.
