The Michigan Military Heritage Museum and Michigan’s WWI Centennial Commission are proud to announce that Michigan will be the first state to host Artist Sabin Howards sculpture for the 100th anniversary of WWI. The Centennial Maquette is a traveling 1/6 scale replica of the monument to be placed in Pershing Park in Washington D.C.

The monument arrived August 1 at the Michigan Military Heritage Museum 153 N. Union Street in Grass Lake and will be on exhibit for three weeks.

This is a great honor and opportunity for Michigan and a great start to recognize our WWI Veterans who still do not have a national monument in our nation’s capital.
