The Saline baseball team remained atop the SEC Red after sweeping three games from Monroe last week.
The Hornets opened with a 12-5 win in the opener.
The game was scoreless after two, but Saline scored two in the third and five in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead. They would add three in the sixth and two in the seventh to pull away.
Alex Morrison had a big game with four hits, three RBI, and two runs scored. Noah Nelson had three hits and two RBI, Vinnie Patteri two hits and an RBI, and Cole Daniels two hits and two runs scored.
Daniels earned the win, striking out eight.
A five-run first inning helped the Hornets take control early and cruise to a 12-1 win in the second game.
Jack O’Keefe had two hits and four RBI, while Brad Baldus and Jayden Belskus each had two hits and two RBI. Reagan Miller added two hits and an RBI, Daniels and Ethan Collick a hit and RBI each.
Danny Weidmayer earned the win with three strikeouts.
A nine-run fourth inning helped the Hornets pull away for a 13-3 win in the series finale.
O’Keefe had a monster game with two hits and six RBI. Jacob Ohren-Hoeft added three hits and three RBI and Nelson three hits and three runs scored. Patteri and Paul Kiyabu each had two hits and an RBI.
Logan Evans struck out four for the win.
