The Saline baseball team improved to 12-0 in the SEC Red with a three-game sweep of Ann Arbor Pioneer last week.
The Hornets can clinch the Red title this week against Skyline.
Saline jumped to a 6-1 lead after three and four runs in the fifth blew the first game open for a 10-2 win.
Alex Morrison ripped a home run and had three RBI. Paul Kiyabu had three hits and scored two runs, Noah Nelson had two hits and three RBI, Ethan Collick, two hits and two RBI, and Vinnie Patteri two hits and two runs scored. Cole Daniels earned the win, striking out six.
Like the opener, Saline jumped to an early lead, taking a 5-1 lead after three, but Pioneer would rally this time.
Pioneer cut the lead to 5-4 in the fifth. Saline added a run in the bottom of the fifth on a Morrison RBI double and held on for the win.
Morrison and Kiyabu had two hits and one RBI each to lead Saline. Collick had a hit and two RBI and Jacob Ohren-Hoeft a hit and RBI.
Daniels bat carried the Hornets to a 7-3 win and the three-game sweep.
He finished with a 4-4 with a home run and five RBI to lead the offense. O’Keefe finished with two hits and two RBI, Morrison and Nelson two hits each. Ryan Steinhauer earned the win with one strikeout.
