Saline Boys’ Cross Country Ninth at State Finals

Another year, another Top 10 finish for the Saline boys’ cross country team.

For the 12th straight year, the Hornets have earned a Top 10 finish. The last time the Hornets did not earn a top 10 was 2006.

Saline came home with a ninth place finish out of 27 teams in the Division 1 race at MIS Saturday, November 3. They finished with 282 points in the race won by Plymouth with 122. Walled Lake Central was second with 127 and Dexter third with 154.

Simon Pfeiffer led the Hornets with a 29th place finish in 16:10 and earned All-State Honors.

William Minnette missed All-State by just over one second with a 32nd place finish in 16:12.5.

Jevin Nishioka was 105th in 16:55 and Christofer Clisham Jr 119th in 17:00. Cole Trese finished 132nd in 17:03, Emmett Berryhill 159th in 17:14, and Jacob Brunty 162nd in 17:16. The race featured 244 runners.
