The Saline boys’ lacrosse team saw its best season in school history end in the Regional semifinals, falling to Northville 8-7.
The game was a battle throughout. The Hornets trailed 7-6 with just under three minutes left in the game, but Northville went coast to coast for a goal to make it 8-6 with 2:25 left in the game.
The Hornets would get one back, but it wasn’t enough as the Mustangs held on.
Saline reached the semifinals by crushing Huron 20-0.
Davis Bruneau, Gavin Klaassen, and Chris Peters scored four goals apiece to lead the Hornet offense. Tanyr Krummenacher had a big game with two goals and eight assists while running the Hornet offense.
Saline finished with a 16-3 overall record.
