Saline Boys Soccer Picks Up Pair of Wins

The boys’ soccer team picked up a pair of wins last week, including a win over a strong Grand Blanc squad.

The Hornets opened the week by taking down Grand Blanc 2-1.

Ryan Nichols gave the Hornets the lead with a penalty kick in the first half before the Bobcats would get the equalizer.

Zeke Gray scored the game winner in the second half for the Hornets.

Saline made a trip to Ohio Saturday and came home with a 1-0 win over Sylvania Northview.

Saline carried most of the action, but it remained scoreless through the first half and over half of the second half.

Ryan Nichols finally broke the scoreless tie when he found the net with 15 minutes left with an assist to Gray. Quinn Fox kept Sylvania off the board in net, including several big stops late in the contest.

Saline improved to 3-1-1 overall on the season.
