SEPTEMBER 19, 2016
The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline City Hall. The Mayor and six members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. There were three citizen comments. By unanimous vote of Council, the Agenda was approved as amended.
The following Consent Agenda items were approved by unanimous vote of Council: Council minutes of the September 12, 2016 Regular meeting; Payment of Bills; Breast Cancer Awareness Month Proclamation; Domestic Violence Awareness Month Proclamation; National Bullying Prevention Month Proclamation; Accept the resignation of Susann deVries from the Historic District Commission; Accept the resignation of Terri Sibo-Koenig from the Planning Commission; approve appointment to the Saline Youth Council.
Council voted unanimously to approve Ordinance 787, Parking Ordinance Update.
Council voted to approve the following: Purchase Agreement for the sale of Sauk Trail Business Park Lot 18 & a portion of Lot 19; Purchase of stand by pump for lift station; Wage increase request for lifeguards and swim instructors; Letter of Support for the Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program; Request to change date for Christmas tree lighting ceremony; Ordinance #788 – Requirement of Competition; 1st amendment to real estate purchase agreement – 600 N. Maple Street.
There were six Discussion and/or Report items. There were three public comments.
Council voted to adjourn at 9:13 p.m.
