SYNOPSIS



The Regular meeting of the Saline City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Marl at Saline

City Hall.  The Mayor and five members of Council were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Council voted unanimously to excuse the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Rhoads. There was one

presentation. By unanimous vote of Council, the Agenda was approved as amended.  There were no

citizen comments.  The following Consent Agenda items were approved by unanimous vote of Council:

Council minutes of the February 29, 2016 regular meeting; payment of 84 payees in the amount of

$753,075.50; to accept the resignation of Walt Byers from the Planning Commission; to approve the

appointment of Joshua Sager to TIFA, EDC, EDTF and LDFA; to acknowledge receipt and approve and

adopt the Resolution proclaiming April 29, 2016 as “Arbor Day”; to approve the appointment of William

Troyka to the Planning Commission; to approve the appointment of Christen Mitchell to ZBA; to accept

the resignation of Richard McGuire from the Arts & Culture Commission;  to approve the resignation of

Trudy Driscoll from the Substance Abuse Prevention Task Force/Coalition.

Hearing

A public hearing was held for the IFT Application of Liebherr-Aerospace

Council unanimously voted to approve the real property IFT in the amount of $6,180,000 for nine years

and personal property in the amount of $4,110,000 for six years.

New Business:

Council unanimously voted to approve the revocation of personal property IFT for Kunststoff-Technik

Scherer& Trier; Council unanimously voted to approve the FY Operating & Capital Budgets for Saline

Area Fire Department; Council unanimously voted to approve Resolution No. 1 Fire Special Assessment

and to set a public hearing for May 2, 2016; Council unanimously voted to approve the Project Contract

#15-5566 for US 12 Reconstruction.

There were nine Discussion and/or Report items.  There were no public comments.
