The Saline girls’ soccer team claimed its fifth straight SEC Red title last week by defeating Ann Arbor Huron 2-0 May 22.
Annika Dahlman headed in a corner kick from Genesis Pena to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Tate Robison drilled in a shot from over 20 yards out in the second half to extend the lead to 2-0 and that is all the Hornets would need as Annika Udrys was stellar in net for the shutout.
The Hornets finished 8-0-2 in the Red.
Saline hosted Dexter Thursday in a battle between state ranked SEC Red and White champions and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Loren Rubin knocked in a loose ball on a corner kick from Pena.
It would stay that way until the second half when the Dreadnaughts tied it with just over 10 minutes left in the game.
Saline finished the regular season with a 10-4-3 overall record.
