An SEC crossover between two of the top teams in the Red and White division was dominated by Saline as the Hornets defeated Chelsea 6-2 Wednesday.

Saline dominated the singles matches, losing just three games in the four sets combined.

Andrea Teofilovic and Madison Caldwell swept the one and two singles 6-0, 6-0, while Carly Hiner won at three singles 6-1, 6-0 and Jenny Wolf at four singles 6-2, 6-0.

Zoe Ellsworth and Aly Heider won 6-0, 6-1 at one doubles, while Megan Foley and Saige Jost won 6-3, 6-0 at two doubles.


Chelsea picked up a pair of wins at three and four doubles.

Madelynn O’Hara and Julia Schachinger won 6-3, 6-1 at the doubles for the Bulldogs.

The match of the day was at four doubles, where Chelsea’s Gretchen Kuras and Madisen Chinavare pulled out an exciting three-set match 7-6(4), 3-6, 10-8 over Lindsey Barba and Brooke Engelhardt of Saline.
