The Saline Boys Golf Team won their first invitational of the year last week with a team season-low score of 328 and placed three players on the All-Tournament Team.

Grant Terris shot 80 and finished in second place.

Jack Woods and Tim Wageman shot rounds of 81, and Josh Finn shot 86. Terris, Woods, and Wageman made the All-Tournament Team.

“Yea, the guys got a win,” Coach Debbie Williams said. “The Grande is a challenging golf course and none of the guys have ever played the course before, which contributed to some shots that they gave away. This makes their scores even more of a positive.  It was great to see Tim have a good round and he is getting back on track.   Our team is very young- we only have one senior playing – so the guys are getting more and more experience on the varsity level and getting confidence.  We will get even better.”

The Hornets dropped two of three matches at an SEC quad at Chelsea Monday, April 30.

They fell to Pioneer 152-161 and tied with Chelsea at 161. The Bulldogs won the tie-breaker with the fifth man score coming in one shot better. They defeated Dexter 161-174.

Finn had a very good day shooting 38. Wageman, Woods and Mason Ausmus shot 41. Terris 44 and Luke Kellersohn 51.
