The Saline hockey team had a rough week as they dropped a pair of games at the Michigan Hockey League Showcase in Trenton.
The Hornets opened the week losing a hard fought contest to Plymouth Salem.
Salem took a 1-0 lead after two periods and extended its lead to 2-0 in the third.
Mikhail Lozovyy scored with just 2:57 left in the game to make it 2-1 and just a minute later Collin Clark found the net to tie the game at 2-2.
It looked like the game might head in to overtime, but Salem shocked the Hornets by scoring with 20 seconds left in the game to pull out the win.
Brendan Murphy, Tom Raupp, and Mason Ausmus picked up assists for Saline.
The Hornets had a rough time Saturday as they dropped a 5-0 decision to a strong Toledo St Francis squad.
TSF scored single goals in the first and second periods for a 2-0 lead and pulled away in the third with three more goals.
Saline falls to 16-4 overall on the season.
