The Saline softball team wrapped up league play with a doubleheader sweep of Ann Arbor Skyline. The Hornets rolled to pair of 11-1 and 16-1 wins over the Eagles.

Saline scored a pair of runs in the second, third and fourth innings and blew things open with five in the fifth to put the opener away.

Brooke Bauer pounded out three hits and had an RBI, while Ashley Heren had two hits and three RBI. Dani Cabello had a hit and two RBI, while Kelsey Alexander and Isabella Darmos had a hit and RBI. Cabellos struck out six for the win.

The second game saw the Hornets score six in the first and eight in the second as they rolled to the three-inning win.


Alexander and Lindsay Rittenhouse each had three hits and three RBI to lead the offense. Bauer added three hits and two RBI, Darmos two hits and two RBI, Emma Schwartzenberger a hit and three RBI, and Heren a hit and RBI.

Elaina Walker struck out four on the mound for the win.

Alex Pace allowed just one hit on the mound as the Hornets blanked Ypsilanti Lincoln 6-0 Wednesday, May 23.

Heren and Alexander each had two hits and scored three runs. Bauer added a hit and three RBI and Pace a hit and RBI.
