NOTICE/SYNOPSIS

SALINE TOWNSHIP GROUP INSURANCE PLAN ORDINANCE

On December 11, 2024, the Township Board of Trustees of Saline Township adopted the Saline Township Group Insurance plan ordinance. The following is a synopsis of the ordinance.

Section 1: Creates the Saline Township Group Insurance Plan Ordinance

Section 2: Provides that the Saline Township Group Insurance Plan Ordinance is adopted to provide health insurance for certain persons and authorizes the Clerk and Supervisor to contract with a company to provide group health insurance coverage

Section 3: Provides that only elected Township officials are eligible to participate in the plan and new officials are eligible 30 days after assuming office.

Section 4: Provides that the Township shall pay 100% of the insurance premiums while the Trustees are liable for any deductibles and co-pays.

Section 5: Trustees electing not to take coverage must give notice to the Township clerk and will receive a $1,500 payment per month in lieu of receiving group plan coverage.

Section 6: The effective date of the ordinance is upon publication. Kelly Marion
