Saline Wrestlers Fourth at SEC Finals

Led by Daniel Poupore’s SEC title at 130 pounds, the Saline wrestling team earned a fourth place finish at the SEC Wrestling Finals at Bedford Saturday.

The Hornets finished with 171 points. The fourth place finish earned a second place overall finish in the SEC Red for the season, behind Bedford.

Poupore went 2-0 on the day for the 130 title, easily winning the championship match 11-0.

Cade Gilless had a strong day at 160 reaching the finals and finishing in second-place.

Kolton Malinczak was second at 125, while Zach Sabin was third at 285 and Josh Brannan was fourth at 189.

Harrison Hill finished fifth at 145 and Jaylen Caruana sixth at 152.
