The 8U Saline Hornet Travel Baseball players finished their introductory season in the Kensington Valley Baseball & Softball Association this past week.

“This season has been a lot of fun. We’ve played hard and worked hard. From the first practice in January to the last game this summer, these boys all made huge strides in their baseball abilities both individually and as a team,” said Head Coach Andy Gottfried.

The 8U Saline Hornets are a youth baseball team through Saline Area Youth Baseball and Softball Organization.

“These boys have been expected to perform at high standards and they did. I know in time, with commitment and dedication these young ball players will be unstoppable as they continue down their youth baseball journey,” added Gottfried

Worth noting: Outside of the league games, the team competed in three tournaments and earned a second-place trophy at the USSSA Kensington Valley Classic tournament.
