Saline’s First Community Carnival a Hit

By Carleen Nelson-Nesvig

Saline Parks and Recreation hosted its first outside entertainment event, the Saline Community Carnival, from May 31st through June 2nd.

Sunshine Lambert, Deputy Director of Saline’s Recreation Center, observed, “It was great seeing all these families come together having food, games, and fun. This was a trial run for us. We needed to see the pluses and minuses of this kind of event. We were looking for creative things to do. Skerbeck Carnivals came very highly recommended as one of our options.”

“The feedback has been great,” continued Lambert. “People have shared that they are thrilled that we were able to provide a layout that appealed to different age groups. The weather has cooperated, the Skerbeck employees are wonderful, and the kids are having fun. I count all that as successful for our first time around”.
