REGULAR BOARD MEETING

Approved the minutes of the regular and special meetings of April 9, 2024, and of the special meeting of April 16, 2024.

Approved the payment of claims presented and accepted the previous check run report.

Approved the successful completion of a probationary period for Christopher Cheng.

Allocated funds from an insurance company for repair of a Township vehicle.

Approved the submission of comments to the US EPA on the Gelman site.

Approved a one-year contract to maintain the Township’s water and sewer pumps.

Approved a Cost-of-Living Allowance increase in wages of 5.1% for all regular employees.

Extended a conditional offer of employment to Brent Newsom for the position of firefighter.

Adopted Zoning Ordinance Amendment #2024-02 Berczel, with conditions, subject to review by Township Attorney and Planning Consultant and in compliance with Scio Code of Ordinances.

Denied Conditional Use #22002, Honey Creek Business Park.

Directed staff members to review roofing options for Friends of Scio Barn, and manager to identify funding sources.

Postponed item to install fence at Township pump station.

Approved the purchase of an air compressor.

Approved a contract to provide oversight of work to be performed on Township water tower.

Authorized manager to sign contract to complete repairs and repaint Township water tower.

Approved 3-year contract to maintain Township’s generators.

Awarded contract to provide design for installation of new generator for Township Hall.

Postponed authorizing the signing of a grant agreement for an agricultural conservation easement.

Postponed discussion of a Pilot Project for Pollinators.
