A small plane crash in Bridgewater Township led to one fatality and another person being flown to the hospital by helicopter with injuries, according to news reports.
The crash happened in the early afternoon on June 10, near U.S. 12 and Lima Center Road. The Sun Times News reached out to the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board for more information.
The FFA said, “A single-engine Piper PA-28 crashed near Ann Arbor Municipal Airport in Michigan around 1:10 p.m. local time on Monday, June 10, 2024. Two people were on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide any updates.”
The FAA said at this time, this is preliminary information.
The NTSB told the Sun Times News on the afternoon of June 10, it is very early in the investigation and not much information is available at this time. An NTSB investigator was expected to be on scene sometime on June 11 to begin documenting the scene and examining the aircraft. The aircraft will then be recovered and taken to a secure facility for further evaluation.
