The second season for soccer kicks off Monday evening as Districts will start for teams across the state and two of our four area schools will open play Monday, with one Tuesday and the other Thursday night.

In Division 1, Saline enters the tournament with a 15-1-3 overall record and ranked third in the state.


The SEC Red champions will open play at Ypsilanti Lincoln Monday. They could face the winner of the Pioneer/Belleville Wednesday night at Skyline and the finals will be played at Skyline at noon Saturday with a possible rematch with 4th ranked Ann Arbor Skyline looming.

The winner of the district advances to the regional at Dearborn Edsel Ford.

In Division 2, Dexter and Chelsea will both be playing in the district at Mason.

Chelsea (9-7-2) will open district play Thursday night at 7:00 in Mason against the winner of Jackson Northwest and Fowlerville.

Dexter enters the tournament with a 16-2-3 record and ranked 10th in D2. They open Monday night at South Lyon East and could play the winner of Pinckney/Mason Thursday at 5:00 in Mason.

The championship match is Saturday night at 6:00 in Mason. The winner advances to the regional at Ortonville Brandon.

In Division 4, Manchester enters the tournament ranked 10th in D4, but has a tough opening round draw Monday night when they face 5th ranked Lenawee Christian. The two teams split their matches during the regular season.

The winner of the match will play Hillsdale Academy Wednesday night for a trip to the finals, which will be played Friday night at 6:00 at Adrian Lenawee Christian. The champion advances to the regional at Madison Heights Bishop Foley.
