Steven Wayne Griewahn, age 73, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.  He was born March 13, 1951, in Adrian to Wayne and Mary Jane (McLoughlin) Griewahn. Steve married Martha A. Churchill on August 5, 2018, in Milan and she survives.

When he was younger, Steve was a Boy Scout with Troop 32 at the Lenawee County Conservation League and attained the title of Eagle Scout in 1965.  He also was a member of the North Adrian Grange and the Adrian High School Swim Team while attending Adrian High School, graduating in 1969.

After high school, Steve began working for General Motors as a skilled trade pipe fitter, retiring in September of 2015 after 30 years of service. When he wasn’t working, Steve was a dedicated attendee of Raisin Valley Friends Church. He enjoyed being a children’s ORV instructor, quad and trail riding, and deer hunting. Steve also had a State of Michigan Builder’s License and was proud of the homes he built in the area.

In addition to his wife Martha, he is survived by his two sons, Matthew (Amy) Griewahn and Garrett Griewahn; four brothers, Rick (Kathy) Griewahn, Gary Griewahn, Scott (Sherry) Griewahn, and Todd (Michelle) Griewahn; and his former wife, Linda Griewahn. Steve is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial visitation for Steve will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 beginning at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home, with Pastor Doug Chandler officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Garden.
