Stockbridge Township Board meeting Minutes for October 17, 2016

Stockbridge Township Supervisor, Paul Risner, called the Regular Stockbridge Township Board Meeting on October 17, 2016 to order at 7:30 PM at the Stockbridge Township Hall. Stockbridge Township Board members present at the meeting: Paul Risner, Sandie Kay, Terry Sommer, Kris Lauckner and Mary Wilson. Stockbridge Township Board Members absent from the meeting. None. Pledge Allegiance: Moment of Silence: Stockbridge Township Board approved the October 17, 2016 Stockbridge Township Board Meeting agenda as printed with the following additions: Garden Club, Enbridge tour, update on road improvements and additions to Stockbridge Township usage agreement. Citizen’s Comments: Open 7:35 PM and closed 7:45 PM. Stockbridge Community News representative Chuck Wisman explained the new, news and calendar starting up to help Stockbridge area residents to be more informed on happening in the area. Lauckner moved Sommer seconded to approve the Stockbridge Township September19, 2016 Board Meeting Minutes as printed. All in favor. Motion carried. Lauchner moved Sommer seconded to approve the Stockbridge Township October 2016 Financial Report as printed. All in favor. Motion carried. Stockbridge Township Building Department third quarter report was given by Katrina Griffith. Old Business: Stockbridge Township attorney, Pete Flintoft, has tried to contract Consumer Energy to finish the franchise between Stockbridge Township and Consumer Energy, but no reply. Tri-County Electrical is sending paperwork on the franchise between Stockbridge Township and HomeWorks Tri County Electrical. The new side doors at the Stockbridge Township Hall will be installed October 18, 2016. Concerning the complaint on Price property, the Stockbridge Township Board is asking Price for a copy of the land he rents for farming to prove he is farming. Stockbridge Township Board approved to reimburse Stockbridge Area Garden Club in amount of $429.11 for garland, lighted snowflakes and other things to decorate the Stockbridge Township Hall and Grounds for the Holiday Season. The reimbursement check will be written early and put on the warrant for November 2016. Citizen’s Comments: 7:55 PM and closed 8:00 PM. New Business: Risner gave a report on the Enbridge Tour at the Dexter Trail station. Risner gave a report on the roadwork completed in Stockbridge Township by Ingham County Department of Roads & Transportation. Risner suggested that the Stockbridge Township Board add “empty trash cans when event is done and arrange and pay for dumpster to be in the area during the events. The whole Stockbridge Township Board agreed to add that item to the usage agreement. Lauckner moved Kay seconded to approve resolution # 2016-10-01, donating funds to help complete the Lakeside Trail Park. Roll Call Vote: Kay – yes, Sommer – yes, Risner – yes, Lauckner – yes and Wilson – yes. Resolution approved. Lauckner moved Sommer seconded to approve paying the October 2016 Stockbridge Township bills in the amount of $16,731.63. Roll Call Vote: Kay – yes, Sommer – yes, Risner – yes, Lauckner – yes, and Wilson – yes. Motion carried. Citizen’s Comment: Opened 8:26 PM and closed 8:30 PM.Supervisor, Paul Risner, adjourned the Stockbridge Township October 17, 2016 Board Meeting at 8:31 PM.
