PROPOSITION TO AUTHORIZE THE LEVYING OF .50 MILLS TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO MAINTAIN, RECONSTRUCT, RESURFACE, OR PRESERVE ROADS, BIKE LANES, STREETS, AND PATHS FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR (4) YEARS, BEGINNING WITH THE DECEMBER 1, 2016 TAX LEVY.
PROPOSITION TO INCREASE THE TAX LIMITATION FOR THE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING WASHTENAW COUNTY’S OBLIGATON TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL RELIEF AND SERVICES FOR WASHTENAW COUNTY VETERANS, INCLUDING THE PAYMENT OF ELIGIBLE INDIGENT VETERANS CLAIMS, AND TO FUND THE OPERATON OF THE WASHTENAW COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS, TAX INCREASE NOT TO EXCEED ONE TENTH OF ONE MIL ($0.10 PER $100,000 OF STATE EQUALIZED VALUE, FOR EIGHT (8) YEARS, BEGINNING WITH THE DECEMBER 1, 2016 TAX LEVY.
A PROPOSAL AUTHORIZING THE REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY OF SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN (RTA) TO LEVY AN ASSESSMENT, 1.2 MILS FOR 20 YEARS.

A voter who wishes to obtain an Absentee Voter Ballot for the election must request it in writing from the Clerk; absentee ballots may not be delivered as a result of an oral request over the phone. The written request may be on the form supplied by the Clerk or other election official, in a letter or a postcard. The written request must include a statutory reason why the voter is eligible to receive an absentee ballot and the applicant’s signature.
