Project Description: Public hearing for the variance application (ZBA25-007) to allow construction of a new single family home at 396 Highland Drive. The new home will be approximately 3 feet from the rear(east) property line where 35 feet is required and will be approximately 3 feet from the north property line where 5 feet in required (Section 30-448). The project will include the demolition of an existing nonconforming structure that is 0.5 feet from the east property line and crosses the northt property line.

The public may only speak during the public hearing and during public comment by being physically present at the meeting. Such comments will be limited to three minutes per person for each item. Written comments may also be sent to the township offices at 18027 Old US 12, Chelsea, Michigan 48118-9673 prior to the public hearing will also be received by the Planning Commission at the meeting before close of the public hearing.
This notice is posted in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, (MCL 41.72a(2)(3)) and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The Zoning Board of Appeals will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting or public hearing upon four (4) days notice to the Sylvan Zoning Administrator.
