The Webster Township Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Mike DeAngelo on December 17, 2024, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor Mike DeAngelo; Clerk Tonie Brovont; Treasurer John Scharf; Trustees Dan Munzel, Shelly Vrsek, Brant Savander; Jeff Harms; Assessor Bill Sinkule; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Deputy Clerk Donna Whitney; and 10 citizens.

Motion to approve the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting held on November 19, 2024, as amended. Carried.

Motion to approve the agenda as amended. Carried.

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented, as well as those anticipated bills received before our next meeting scheduled for January 21, 2025. Carried.

Motion to accept and file the Consent Agenda Reports as presented. Carried.

Motion to postpone Amendment to Private Road Ordinance No. 92-5. Carried.

Discussion on Keeping of Animals.

Discussion on Generator Consultant Quote. Motion withdrawn. Vote postponed.

Discussion on AV Replacement scope of work needed.

Motion to nominate Shelly Vrsek to the PDR Board for a term ending 12/2025. Confirmed.

Motion to recommend reappointing Tom Bloomer and Linda Hosford to the PDR Board for a term ending 12/2026. Confirmed.

Motion to amend Resolution No. 18-24, Section 10, of Private Road Ordinance. Carried.

Motion to accept extending, for one month, the current contract from SRI Planning LLC, Webster Township’s Planner and Zoning Administrator, through January 31, 2025. Carried.

Discussion on Dexter Area Fire Department (DAFD) 2025 Proposed budget.

Motion to recommend appointing Jeffrey Darish to the Compensation Commission for a term to expire December 2028. Confirmed.

Motion to recommend reappointing Rick Kleinschmidt to the Planning Commission for a term to expire December 2025. Confirmed.

Motion to recommend re-appointing Dita Albert, Tracy Rose and Nicole Eisenmann to the Board of Review for a term to expire December 2026. Confirmed.

Motion to recommend re-appointing Kay Stremler and Shelly Vrsek to the Natural Features Committee for a term to expire December 2025. Confirmed.

Motion to recommend appointing Janice Arps-Prundeanu to finish out the term of Mike DeAngelo on the Natural Features Committee for a term to expire December 2026. Confirmed.

Motion to recommend re-appointing Brian Barrick and Joanne Westman to the Parks Committee for a term to expire December 2027. Confirmed.

Discussion on need for ZBA Alternates.

Discussion on Budget Amendment. No action required at this time.
