Two employees of the Dexter Pub, Jessica (Kirkland) Hall and Alex Perrini, were acknowledged by the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) during a regular City of Dexter council meeting on August 27.

WCSO Lieutenant Lisa King and Deputy Gary Lowe acknowledged the women for an incident that occurred in the City of Dexter in June.

Deputy Lowe explained that during his evening shift with the WCSO-Dexter, a young lady had been brutally assaulted. Hall and Perrini were both working at the pub when the young lady sought refuge at the Dexter Pub around midnight that evening in June. Lowe said the two employees immediately assisted the young lady with medical attention, called 911 and provided a safe place until police could arrive.

“It is important for us [WCSO] to bring this to city council to recognize this outstanding sense of community, to show what you have here in this community and what this community has to offer” Lowe told council.
