The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) announced their next installment of their community education series this morning. The next installment of the series will be focused on the new roadside oral swab drug testing pilot program.

“Just ‘Cause sessions” were started by the WCSO to initiate an open dialogue between the WCSO and the community about pressing issues. An initial town hall meeting brought over 600 concerned residents, now these educational series offer details and knowledge about six most commonly questioned aspects of law enforcement.

The session, which will take place tomorrow Jan. 17 at the Learning Resource Center at 4135 Washtenaw Ave. Ann Arbor MI. from 6:30 – 8 p.m., will be facilitated by WCSO Drug Recognition Experts (DRE) deputies.

These deputies will facilitate a 40-minute classroom style discussion followed by an open Q & A period.
