I want everyone to know what a wonderful facility Chelsea Hospital is. Everyone that works there is extremely competent and compassionate. They do everything possible to make patients and family of patients feel welcome and well cared for.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July of 2016. My OB/GYN recommended Chelsea Hospital because of the outstanding reputations of the physicians and staff, in addition to the proximity to my home in Tecumseh.
Through my entire journey of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and follow up everyone that took care of me was amazing. I always felt comfortable and knowledgeable about the procedures. They were especially accommodating to my parents who accompanied me on all my chemotherapy visits. My Mom was sad when my eight rounds of chemotherapy were over. Both my parents looked forward to visiting with the doctors, nurses, chaplain and other staff.
They say, “be careful what you wish for because it may come true.” October of last year my Dad was having trouble breathing. After seeing his primary doctor she recommended he go to the emergency room for further tests. Even though they live in Ann Arbor we drove to Chelsea Hospital because of the excellent care I had received. He was immediately admitted to a room and diagnosed with fluid in his lungs. He received the same competent care and was released four days later.
His experience was the same as mine. Everyone was super caring. The management should be very proud of the excellent training they are providing to their personnel. This training results in performance without errors.
I have highly recommended Chelsea Hospital to anyone needing medical care. I have consistently enforced the professionalism and kindness of all people associated with the hospital.
