The Webster Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI, to consider proposed text amendments to the Webster Township Zoning Ordinance.

The proposed amendments are to align the Zoning Ordinance with the terminology for road classifications used in the Master Plan, specifically to remove references to major, local, minor, arterial, and collector roads and replace with references to primary, local, and neighborhood roads with a redefinition of local roads.  Amendments are proposed to the following sections:

2.10: Definitions, Roads

9.10(A): Agriculture District

9.12(A): Agribusiness District

9.15(A): Rural Residential District

9.20(A): Urban Residential District

9.25: Multi-Family Residential District

9.35(A): Commercial District

9.37(A): Office District

9.40(A): Industrial District

9.50(A): Public Land District

12.15(A): Automotive Uses

12.85(F): Open Space Preservation Communities

13.35(A)(1): Developments: Design Standards

13.75(A): Landscaping

13.80(E)(1): Lots, Yards and Frontage

13.130: Setbacks on Major Roads

The proposed text amendments are available for public inspection at the Township Hall during normal business hours (Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM. to 4:00 PM).

Verbal comments may be heard at the hearing.

Email comments must be sent to administrator@twp.webster.mi.us and must be received by 4:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

Written comments must be received at: 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130 by 4:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

Those with disabilities must notify the Township Clerk no less than seven (7) days prior to the meeting so that accommodations may be furnished to satisfy their disability and allow for meaningful attendance.
