WEBSTER TOWNSHIP NOTICE OF ELECTION
To the Qualified Electors of the Township of Webster, Washtenaw County, Michigan.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A GENERAL ELECTION WILL BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The purpose of this General Election is to vote on the following:
President and Vice President
Representative in Congress 7th district
Representative in State Legislature 52nd district
State Boards – State Board of Education; Regent of the University of Michigan; Trustee of Michigan State University; Governor of Wayne State University
Washtenaw County – Prosecuting Attorney; Sheriff; Clerk and Register of Deeds; Treasurer; Water Resources Commissioner; and County Commissioner 2nd district
Webster Township – Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, and Trustees
Judicial – Justice of Supreme Court; Judge of Court of Appeals 3rd district; Judge of Circuit Court 22nd circuit; Judge of District Court 14A district
Board of Trustees Member Washtenaw Community College
Board Member Dexter Community Schools
Board Member Pinckney Community Schools
Board Member Whitmore Lake Public Schools
Board Member Ann Arbor Public Schools
Board Member Ann Arbor District Library
PROPOSALS AND MILLAGES
A County Proposal to authorize levying of .56 mills to provide funding for roads, bike lanes, streets, and paths
A County Proposal to increase the tax limitation for the county department of veteran’s affairs
An Authority Proposal to authorize the regional transit authority of southeast Michigan to levy as assessment
Local School District: Dexter District Library renewal millage
Local School District: Whitmore Lake Public School District Millage Proposal.
Sample ballots (which includes the complete wording of the proposals)
are available at the Webster Township Hall or at Michigan.gov/vote.
The polling place is located at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road,
and is handicapped accessible with voting available in alternate forms (audio and braille).
To receive an Absentee Ballot Application contact the Webster Township Clerk
at 734-426-5103 (M-Th from 8-4) or online at Michigan.gov/vote.
If you wish to have an absentee ballot mailed to you, the last mailing, by law,
is Saturday, November 5 by 2:00 p.m. The office will be open this day
from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of issuing Absentee Ballots.
Please don’t postpone. Apply early to be sure your ballot arrives on time.
The last day to pick up an Absentee Ballot in person is November 7.
Ballots obtained on November 7 must be voted in person at the Township Hall.
