SYNOPSIS Webster Township Board Meeting – July 16, 2024, 7:00 P.M.
The Webster Township Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor John Kingsley on July 16, 2024, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor John Kingsley; Clerk Tonie Brovont; Treasurer John Scharf; Assessor Bill Sinkule; Trustees Dan Munzel, Jeff Harms, Shelly Vrsek, John Westman; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Deputy Clerk Donna Whitney, and 10 citizens.
Motion to approve the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting held on June 18, 2024, as amended. Carried.
Motion to approve the agenda as amended. Carried.
Presentation by assessor Bill Sinkule – Webster Township Assessing Audit findings.
Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented, as well as those anticipated bills received before our next meeting scheduled for August 20, 2024. Carried.
Motion to accept and file the Consent Agenda Reports as presented. Carried.
Motion to approve the Potts Club: 2024 Bylaws, as amended. Carried.
Motion to approve a Special Event Permit for the Dexter Winter Farmers’ Market. Carried.
Motion to pay T & M Asphalt Invoice in the amount of $480,272.22. Carried.
Motion to postpone approval of T & M Asphalt joint sealing quote until the July 29, 2024 Special Board of Trustees Meeting, in order to gather more information. Carried.
Motion to accept the $10,050 proposal for subgrade undercuts as submitted and authorize T & M Asphalt to proceed with the work as soon as possible. Carried.
Motion to hire T & M Asphalt to install additional French Drain at a cost of $7,470. Carried.
Motion to postpone approval of Washtenaw Engineering Invoice until the July 29, 2024 Special Board of Trustees Meeting in order to gather more information. Carried.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Carried.
