SYNOPSIS Webster Township Board Meeting

August 20, 2024, 7:00 P.M.

The Webster Township Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor John Kingsley on August 20, 2024, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor John Kingsley; Clerk Tonie Brovont; Zoning Administrator Sri Komaragiri; Trustees Dan Munzel, Shelly Vrsek, John Westman; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Deputy Clerk Donna Whitney, and 9 citizens. Absent: Treasurer John Scharf; Trustee Jeff Harms.

Motion to approve the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting held on July 16, 2024, and the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Special Meeting held on July 29, 2024, as presented. Motion carried.

Motion to approve the agenda as amended, adding in New Business item H, Correction of Resolution Numbering. Motion carried.

Presentation – Webster Township Parks Committee

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented, as well as those anticipated bills received before our next meeting scheduled for September 17, 2024. Motion carried.

Motion to accept and file the Consent Agenda Reports as presented. Motion carried.

Discussion – Private Road Ordinance. Revisions presented and discussed.

Discussion – Guest Wi-Fi account.

Motion to approve the Special Event Permit for the Webster Fall Festival for Saturday, September 28, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with no rain date and with dogs permitted on township grounds for demonstration purposes only. Permit contingent on the township receiving insurance certificates and proof that the Sheriff and Fire Department have been contacted. Motion carried.

Discussion – Washtenaw County Materials Management Plan

Motion to approve the expenditure of up to $500 to print the Natural Features brochure and mail letters and brochures to residents in the Natural River District and to landscaping contractors doing business in the district. Motion carried.

Discussion – Proposal for Stand-by Generator for Township Hall

Discussion – Purchase of Panic Button System for Election Workers

Discussion – Formation of Webster Township Roads Sub-Committee

Discussion – Credit Card Policy

Motion to renumber Resolution No. 11-24 (approved on June 18, 2024) to be Resolution No. 12-24 and to renumber Resolution No. 12-24 (approved on July 2, 2024) to be Resolution No. 13-24. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:32 p.m. Motion carried.
